Vision of the Business Community

Our Park City business community is diverse with both locally owned and operated businesses along with large-scale destination-driven resorts. It is a business community that aspires to be a strong, collaborative, and a sustainable economic ecosystem that supports year-round vitality while preserving the character and quality of life that define our mountain town. A healthy business community in Park City enhances resident prosperity, delivers exceptional visitor experiences, and protects the long-term integrity of the community for future generations. The Park City Chamber & Visitors Bureau plays a critical leadership role in advancingthis vision by serving as a trusted advocate, and stewarding the local economy. Through thoughtful destination management and strategic marketing, the Chamber & Visitors Bureau promotes balanced, year-round visitation that supports businesses while remainingmindful of the community impact, capacity and sustainability. By elevating Park City’s brand and values, the Chamber & Visitors Bureau helps ensure that tourism strengthens, rather than strains, the community. Equally important, the Chamber & Visitors Bureau supports business success through advocacy, education, data-driven insights, and meaningful collaboration among stakeholders. It provides a unified voice for the business community, helps address workforce and economic challenges, and fosters partnerships that drive long-term resilience. Through this work, the Chamber & Visitors Bureau helps ensure that economic vitality and community well-being move forward together, positioning Park City for a prosperous and sustainable future

Priorities for Board

10 Advance Strategic, Year Round Destination Management - Rather than simply driving volume, I would support strategies that optimize timing, distribution, and visitor behavior. This includes prioritizing shoulder season growth, promoting a diverse mix of experiences, and supporting businesses that rely on consistent, predictable demand. Thoughtful destination management strengthens business sustainability while reducing strain during peak periods. This would include partnering with the resorts and other key partners in the community to understand events, etc. that they are creating and where possible we can support each other and the community.20 Support Business Resilience and Workforce Stability - In order to have a healthy business community we must have a stable workforce and adaptable businesses. I would advocate for Board priorities that focus on workforce challenges for our local staff—housing, transportation, and talent retention—while also expanding access to education, data, and best practice sharing for Chamber members. Helping businesses succeed operationally directly supports economic resilience and community well being.

Vision of the Business Community

The Park City Business community should be made up of inspired individuals who want to make a difference for their employees, community, and guests/customers. We should use the Chamber as a platform to work together for business better practices and policies, better communication, and helpful education for small and mid size businesses. The businesses that make up the Chamber are the heartbeat of our community, they should continue to have a voice to guide the marketing efforts and identity of our town.

Priorities for Board

I would like to be a voice for the Business community that is not on Main Street. Advocate for a welcoming town from one end to the other.

I would advocate for a carpooling activation that is rewarded by real dollar bills for small burgesses to reward employees for each and every carpooling effort.

I want to make a difference for the employees that work for our businesses. Especially the ones who do not have the means to live in PC proper. They are still community members and should be recognized and rewarded moving forward.

Biography

Brazilian-born restaurateur and owner of The Bridge Café and Grill in Park City, Utah, recognized for his hands-on approach to service and dining. Originally working in IT POS systems, he transitioned into the restaurant industry in 2008, establishing a popular spot for skiers and locals.

Vision of the Business Community

A business community is only as strong as its employees. A forward-thinking chamber advocates for attainable housing and childcare, knowing that if workers can't afford to live nearby, the businesses will eventually fail.

Priorities for Board

In an ideal business community, success isn't just about individual profit; it’s about a circular economy where local businesses support one another.

Collaborative, Not Just Competitive: Local shops, restaurants, and service providers view each other as partners. If one restaurant is full, they refer the guest to the café next door.

Identity-Driven: The community maintains a unique "soul" that resists becoming a generic strip mall. It celebrates local founders, regional flavors, and the specific history of the area.

Resilient: The community is diversified enough to handle seasonal shifts or economic dips because it has a loyal local base and a healthy influx of visitors.

Vision of the Business Community

My vision for Park City’s business community centers on stronger support for entrepreneurs—especially as many new families with diverse professional backgrounds have chosen to make this area home in recent years. There’s real opportunity to help those individuals plug into the local economy, launch ideas, and grow businesses here. I see the Chamber as the connector that helps members collaborate more intentionally through cross-promotion, shared visibility, and coordinated partnerships with publications and organizations already highlighting small business. Just as important is helping residents know where to shop and engage locally each weekend, alongside supporting tourism. The Chamber can be the glue that keeps businesses connected, visible, and growing together year-round.

Priorities for Board

I would prioritize practical business education that helps small operators manage marketing, hiring, partnerships, and financial strategy while balancing the many roles they carry. Expanding workshops, mentorship, and collaboration with groups like Marketing Club, Women’s Inspired Network, and Women’s Business Network would strengthen the support system already forming across the region. I’d also advocate for stronger cross-promotion with local publications and community organizations to increase visibility for small businesses among both residents and visitors. The goal is a more connected ecosystem where businesses are easier to discover, better supported, and positioned for steady year-round growth.

Park City is not just a destination - it is a lovely small town, it is a brand, and like any great brand, it requires great stewardship.

My vision for the Park City business community is one where local entrepreneurs, hospitality leaders, and creative industries are actively supported, connected, and celebrated, from the independent mom and pop to the international brand that both support our wonderful small town and welcome those who come to visit.

The Chamber & Visitors Bureau is a powerful tool and its impact centers on three priorities:

Elevate local businesses onto a national stage. The Chamber can connect Park City’s small businesses to the press, partners, and platforms that drive real visibility turning individual success stories into a cohesive destination narrative that attracts high-value visitors and luxury partnerships year-round.

Be a fierce advocate for the businesses that define us. Independently owned restaurants, retailers, and experience providers are the soul of Park City. The Chamber can actively champion the policy environment, infrastructure, and resources these businesses need by navigating relationships with local government, and Visit Park City on their behalf so owners can focus on what they do best.

Connect the ecosystem. Hospitality, food and beverage, retail, wellness, and the arts are one economy. The Chamber is uniquely positioned to convene these communities, facilitate cross-industry collaboration, and ensure that rising tides, a solid ski season, a major event, a wave of press lift every boat, not just the largest ones.

Park City’s businesses are world-class. The Chamber’s role is to make sure they have every resource, relationship, and platform to prove it.

Priorities for Board

1. Amplify Park City’s Business Identity Beyond the Mountain - Park City’s reputation is built on world-class skiing, but our business community is so much more. We could prioritize developing a year-round destination narrative, one that showcases our culinary scene, independent retailers, experiential offerings, and creative industries to drive visitor engagement and economic activity in every season.

2. Create a Stronger Support Infrastructure for Small Business. Too many small businesses in Park City operate without access to the networks, resources, and advocacy they need, and would push for tangible programming, mentorship connections, collaborative marketing opportunities, regulatory navigation support, and direct Chamber engagement so that independent business owners feel genuinely supported.

3. Deepen Hospitality & Food and Beverage Industry Collaboration - Drawing on my experience with the Park City Restaurant Board, and would prioritize building stronger formal ties between the Chamber and our hospitality and F&B communities. This means coordinated programming, shared promotion, and a unified voice on issues affecting restaurants, bars, lounges, hotels, and experience providers.

4. Leverage Media & Press Relationships for Collective Benefit - Park City earns consistent national and international press coverage, and work to ensure that visibility serves the broader business community and not just anchor brands by creating pathways for smaller businesses to benefit from the destination’s media momentum.

5. Foster Civic and Cross-Industry Connection The strongest business communities are also deeply connected ones, and would prioritize initiatives that bring together entrepreneurs across industries, strengthen relationships with the school district, local government, and community organizations, and ensure the Chamber remains a true civic anchor for Park City

Vision of the Business Community

My vision for the Park City business community is one that continues to thrive as both a world, class destination and a strong, sustainable local economy. Having lived and worked in Summit County for many years, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to strike a balance between growth, tourism, and preserving the character that makes Park City so unique.

I believe a successful business community here is built on thoughtful development, strong collaboration, and a diverse mix of local and national businesses. From my experience in commercial real estate, working across retail, office, mixed-use, and resort markets,
I’ve had the opportunity to be directly involved in shaping many of the communities and centers that contribute to Park City’s economic vitality. This perspective has shown me the importance of long-term planning, strong partnerships, and aligning business growth with community needs.

The Park City Chamber & Visitors Bureau plays a critical role in bringing this vision to life. Through strategic marketing, business advocacy, and community engagement, the Chamber has the ability to not only attract visitors, but to support local businesses, guide responsible growth, and foster meaningful connections across industries. I see the Chamber as a key bridge between tourism and the local business community, ensuring that both can succeed together. Additionally, I believe the Chamber can continue to enhance its impact by supporting emerging developments, strengthening relationships with property owners and business leaders, and providing valuable insights that help guide decision-making across the community.

Ultimately, my goal is to contribute to a business environment that is collaborative, forward-thinking, and resilient, one that supports both current businesses and future opportunities, while maintaining the integrity and lifestyle that make Park City such a special place to live and work.

Priorities for Board

To help realize my vision for a strong and sustainable business community in Park City, I would focus on a few key priorities as a Board member.

First, I would prioritize strengthening collaboration between local businesses, property owners, and developers. In my experience, alignment among stakeholders is critical to achieving thoughtful growth and long-term success.

Second, I would support maintaining a balanced and diverse business mix, ensuring we continue to support local businesses while also attracting high-quality tenants and investment that enhance the overall market.

Third, I would advocate for smart, sustainable growth that aligns with community needs while preserving the character of Park City. With ongoing development in the area, thoughtful planning is essential.

Finally, I would focus on strengthening the connection between tourism and the local business community to ensure year-round economic vitality, while supporting the Chamber’s role as a resource and advocate for businesses.

Overall, my priorities center on collaboration, balanced growth, and long-term sustainability to support a thriving business environment for both businesses and residents.

Vision of the Business Community

My vision for the business community in Park City is a resilient, year-round mountain economy that evolves beyond reliance on winter snowfall and ski tourism by embracing outdoor recreation in all seasons, arts and culture, and wellness experiences. While iconic destinations like Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley Resort will always remain part of the town’s identity, the future lies in positioning Park City as a four-season destination where visitors come for mountain biking, trail running, festivals, film, wellness retreats, and creative collaboration as much as they come for winter sports. The Park City Chamber & Visitors Bureau can positively shape this vision by leading a strategic rebranding of Park City as a “mountain lifestyle destination,” expanding marketing for spring, summer, and fall travel, supporting local businesses in diversifying their offerings, and developing signature events and partnerships that attract new visitors, entrepreneurs, and investment while sustaining the vibrant local economy even as snowfall becomes less predictable.

Priorities for Board

The priorities I would bring to the Board of Directors of the Chamber would include taking swift, proactive action to address the current tourism challenges facing Park City. With ski traffic down substantially, we must act quickly to pivot our marketing and focus toward year-round tourism, highlighting the full range of experiences Park City offers—from outdoor adventure and world-class events to dining, arts, and culture—to sustain our local businesses and strengthen the community’s long-term economic resilience.
