Complementary skills are helping Eileen Mullane and Jennifer Redington get off to a fast start at RE Park City on Iron Horse Drive, an exciting new women's clothing consignment venture that opened in February. It's Eileen's second consignment enterprise; she operated the popular Right at Home shop for 20 years before closing during the COVID pandemic. "The entrepreneurial spirit kicked in once again," she smiles. "Jennifer and I realized we are a great fit."
"Besides being warm, authentic, and giving, Parkites have beautiful clothes in their closets they want to consign!" Jennifer adds.
"Park City women have great style," Eileen concurs. "Their commitment to repurposing clothing also fits with what we do."
The two friends have Park City roots going back decades. Jennifer visited 25 years ago and purchased a home in 2012. "When COVID hit, my husband and I needed a fresh start,” she recalls. "I retired from a San Francisco healthcare technology career, and we moved here for good three years ago." For Eileen, family job relocations led to Park City in the late 80s. "I immediately fell in love with the outdoor lifestyle, and I've been 'home' ever since."
The pair share Park City's culture of helping others and plan to restart Eileen's tradition of supporting nonprofits. Right at Home was an early sponsor of the Park City Community Foundation's Women's Giving Fund in 2014, which has raised over $2.5 million to support women and children in need.
Enthusiastically embracing the outdoors, Eilleen and Jennifer golf, ski, mountain bike and travel. Eileen even inspired a fictional character in an award-winning novel “that was based on my childhood in Asbury Park, New Jersey," she says.
"It’s wonderful how Parkites support each other, local businesses and celebrate success," Eileen observes. "It's one of our town’s great strengths."
Jennifer heartily concurs, adding, "I am always grateful and appreciative for the love and support of our community."
