Business owners: why not consider home concierge service as an employee benefit you can cost-share with other businesses? "No more interruptions for a handyman phone call and less stress on weekends when employees should be relaxing," says Ben White of White Cloud Concierge, a service aimed squarely at busy locals and businesses. "Give people more time with what they value."
Trained as a commercial pilot, Ben eventually found time on Utah's slopes a bit more valuable than flight time, founding his growing business in 2020. "I think in terms of 'Will what I am doing lead to more skiing?'" he laughs. "If it doesn't, I try to avoid it."
Ben's skilled vendors provide everything from lawn care to car detailing. Whether repairing a stove himself, lining up a gutter repair, or assembling furniture, Ben loves the challenge and unpredictability of his work, his calm, quick, logical approach honed by his aviation training.
"Right now, I'm dealing with the logistics of shipping airplane engines across the country," he says. "Turns out it's more complicated than just delivering a big box." His versatility and proficiency create trust, with a recent client contacting him from overseas to grab a good deal on a local mountain bike.
"He gave me access to his secret in-home cash box" to complete the purchase, he recalls. "That level of trust feels good."
Ben's incredible photos of his steep slope derring-do span the globe. "Chamonix (France) stole my heart," says the coastal Massachusetts native, who first skied in Utah at age 11. "But the Wasatch is hard to beat!" He and his wife also enjoy rock climbing, paragliding and mountain biking.
But Ben always returns to his original mission: carving out more time for his clients to focus on what’s important. "We're all given time, but we shouldn't spend it freely," Ben muses. “I try to make everything I do valuable to me or to someone else.”
