It's simple math: Jen plus Jen equals the best après parties in town. "I have a knack for bringing people together and creating fun," says Jennifer Francis, who founded Après House after being inspired by Aspen's post-ski scene. "It wasn't just drinks, it was a whole vibe," she remembers. "I knew Park City had the right pieces."
Partner Jennifer Sutton ("We know it's confusing!") and her family relocated from her career in NYC media and marketing. The Jens connected over lunch, and now team up to conjure brand launches, pop-up parties, and corporate events with a distinctly local après-ski culture flavor.
Jen F. is typically energized while prepping for the August 6 Rooftop Jazz event at the Pendry, part of their summer-long series there. "I believe in making people feel welcome and part of something," she enthused. First seeing Park City in '09 during a "dating chapter," she says our "amazing people, worldly, elevated energy,” and kind, welcoming culture made deciding to stay "an easy call."
Jen Sutton agrees. "Everyone here feels connected and all in on making the most of where we live." Her childhood PC ski vacations "always stuck with me," she recalls. "As did the weather, the people and the lifestyle. We finally made the move in 2019 with our two boys."
For a party pair well known for spectacular events, the Jens are far from being all-nighters. "I'm proud of my 9 p.m. bedtime," Jen F. smiles. "Sleep is nonnegotiable." She and her fiancé love hiking and scenic drives.
"I feel most like myself during quality time at home with my husband and two boys," Jen S. chimes in. "I enjoy cooking, having friends over, and getting outside."
With their full-on embrace of ski culture, the Jens enjoy summer hosting while eagerly awaiting another fantastic winter. "Park City knows how to celebrate," Jen F. concludes. "I feel lucky Après House gets to be part of that."
