“I started the Evergreen 100 Club, dedicated to spending 100 days on the mountain each winter,” says Lenny Leslie of Park City Toffee of his love for the outdoors. “One year I went 150 days straight.”
When he does come inside, Lenny is busy perfecting his signature stove-top toffee — a Park City staple since 2019, born from a recipe his great-grandfather brought from Europe in 1906. “We called it ‘Sponge Toffee’ growing up. It’s light, airy, and crunchy,” he says. “It took years to get it right.”
Lenny first discovered Park City as an East Coast snowboarder visiting in 2005. “I couldn’t believe the terrain, weather, and snow quality — but the bigger surprise was how great everyone is. I knew this was where I wanted to spend the rest of my life.”
Finding his permanent home led to a busy, joyful life: founding the Evergreen 100 Club, helping organize the Utah Hot Air Balloonpalooza, and after studying jiu-jitsu, earning a teaching certificate and helping others at Gracie Barra Park City. His toffee flavors celebrate local landmarks — from Snow Park Pistachio to Jupiter Peak Coconut to his best-seller, Great Sea Salt, topped with Maldon Sea Salt and milk chocolate. “My goal,” he says, “is to capture the feeling of these mountains in every bite.”
Lenny’s rarely without his Vizslas — 13-year-old Allie and younger rescue Annie, “who learned everything from her big sister,” Lenny laughs. “My first rescue, Mia, was too scared to eat at first,” he recalls. “Seeing her well-adjusted and greeting everyone at Park Silly Sunday was one of my most rewarding experiences.”
Today, Lenny’s adventures aim even higher. “My goal is to visit every continent — and then go to space,” he grins. “Space and Antarctica are the only ones left!”
Still, Park City remains his anchor. “I’ve made friends here for life,” he says. “Everyone chooses to live here — and to make it better. I’ve never known a place more special.”
