“I found Park City largely by luck,” says Vitto Coppola of U.S. Bank, a friendly, familiar face in the local business community. “I rented a room on Marsac for the summer to earn money as a student at UVU,” he recalls. “I was fascinated! It felt different from anywhere else I had lived. I knew I would one day raise a family here.”
Armed with an MBA, Vitto returned to PC ten years ago and is now with US Bank as the Business Relations Manager, helping entrepreneurs and established companies alike navigate growth in Park City. Whether it’s managing cash flow or financing a new building. “It’s all community-focused, with the national resources of U.S. Bank behind it,” he says. “I’ve built many friendships through banking.”
Like his first encounter with Park City, Vitto’s career path was unexpected. “I was nineteen, and thought a teller job had the perfect schedule,” he says with a laugh. “I could go to school, play soccer, and snowboard every weekend.”
Originally from a Spanish-speaking background, Vitto was just beginning his adjustment to a new life in Utah as he began his business studies. “I was navigating a new language,” he says. “Gradually, I found working with numbers and finance comfortable and interesting.”
Today, it’s interacting with Park City’s dynamic business people that keeps him motivated. “Some days are so engaging I don’t realize I’ve missed lunch,” he says. “It’s exciting and rewarding. I’m proud of how we support business growth and innovation here.”
Outside the office, Vitto fully embraces the Mountainkind lifestyle, spending as much time outdoors with family as possible. He and his wife love snowboarding, mountain biking, and camping with their two daughters and their “very spoiled dog.”
Vitto carries that same enthusiasm into work. “The constant variety keeps me energized,” he says. “After 18 years in banking, I’m still excited to wake up each morning and see what a Park City banking day will bring.”
